Arch Community Fund - 2025 Transformative Organizing

Our Mission is to strengthen grassroots movements to resist oppression and build towards a more equitable future. We believe that this moment calls for resistance. We must actively challenge the authoritarian threat posed by extremists, and invest in long-term, transformative change.

The Arch Community Fund makes grants to support transformative organizing for systemic change. Arch does not prioritize specific issues in its grant-making, but rather seeks to fund community-led organizing that is visionary, intersectional and focused on building power. Our grants provide general operating support for small, grassroots organizations, including fiscally sponsored projects. The Fund seeks to support grassroots strategies that meet immediate needs and are part of a strategy for long-term structural change.  

We make between 10 – 15 general support grants annually to transformative organizing efforts through an open call in partnership with JustFund.  

To be eligible for funding, groups must meet all of the following criteria:

• 501(c)(3) status or be fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3) organization
• Annual budget of $1,000,000 or less
• Headquartered in the United States
• Transformative organizing for systemic change is primary program, activity, or mission of the organization
• Networks, coalitions and alliances are not eligible for funding at this time

We prioritize the following criteria in funding decisions:

• Further the Mission of Arch to strengthen grassroots movements to resist oppression and build towards a more equitable future
• Fit with the Core Principles of Arch: Resistance; Community Leadership; Transformational, Anti-Capitalist Solutions; and Intersectionality
• Lack of substantial access to mainstream funding sources
• Strong partnerships with allied organizations

Grants are expected to range from $15,000 – $25,000.
